It’s not every day that a bank gives you $10M. So when it does happen, you have to post something. Thanks to Westpac for investing $10M in the business I co-founded, Lawpath

10 years ago, taking a couple of weeks annual leave from the day job, I started Lawpath. I made 2 good decisions that day:

1. There were virtually no available domain names related to “law”, so the choice was “Lawpath” or “LawGnome.” Not sure Westpac would have invested in LawGnome

2. That afternoon, I pitched a group of investors with the mission that “Lawpath would help 1 Million Australian small businesses get access to cost-effective legal advice.” There was scoffing – then and for many years after – from many people. But in 2024, Lawpath hit 500,000 clients served… and is well on its way to the 1M … especially with its LegalAI platform making legal even more accessible

I have a day job, but these days my nights & weekends are spent chasing another audacious goal. I want to help 1 Million lawyers worldwide succeed in & enjoy their legal careers. We have had almost 600 people do one of the courses in the last 8 months – so we have a ways to go to get to the 1M. But we have 10 years. The courses suit all lawyers regardless of experience, country or private/in-house practice.
